About 3 feet of snow fell in 24 hours. That is more snow in a single day then we often get for a whole year!

We've been harvesting nearly 2 cups a day from our single bush. Our water bills are crazy high (so high I think they are a mistake as we rarely do laundry, shower together, have only water saving fixtures and are only 2 people) so anything to help is a good thing. Finally! I remember when we first moved in that they bloomed around March 25th and we had no idea what kind of tree it was, so it was a big surprise to walk out one morning to a tree in full bloom. It was about Project Budburst which is tracking climate change in a decidedly low tech way: home gardener observations. They call it "citizen science" and it is quite easy. Last year Matt went to the Sherwood Gardens annual bulb dig and dug up a bunch of exotic tulip bulbs.
